Q. How much does it cost?

Every house is different. The price depends on the size of the house and the complexity of the house. Protherm visit each house to do a site specific drawing and will generate your quotation from this precise information. As a rule of thumb however, a 3 bed-semi detached house in the greater Dublin area will cost approximately between €10,000 and €12000. There is a €4000 grant available from SEAI on houses more than 6 years old.

Q. How long does Protherm's installation process take to complete?

Installation time depends primarily on weather and size of the house. 90% of our houses are completed in 2 weeks.

Q. If we decide to go ahead with the work when can you start?

Should you wish to go ahead with the work Protherm will choose a start date that suits YOU. We can generally start with one weeks notice.

Q. Is the installation process very disruptive?

Our contractors never need to enter your home. All the work is done outside and our trained approved contractors are audited to ensure that they are always neat and tidy. We are very aware that our clients want the minimum of disruption in their homes and we always exceed our client's expectations in this regard.

Q. Is the insulation soundproof?

Our ECAP panels give a much improved acoustic insulation. You can expect a marked improvement in airborne sound problems post insulation.

Q. Is there much on-going maintenance involved?

There is a 10 year maintenance free finish with ECAP. We provide a home owners pack with some simple steps to keeping your exterior perfect for years to come.

Q. Do we apply for the grant ourselves?

Protherm are happy to provide you with assistance in applying for the grant however it is down to the householder to complete the application as the payment is made directly into your bank account from SEAI.

Q. How long does the grant approval process take?

You will get an email from the SEAI after 10 minutes to say you have been approved.

Q. What is the U-value (insulation value) of Protherm's panel insulation system?

Our minimum insulation U Value is .27 to comply with part L building regulations. Of course we can go lower and insulate to an even higher standard should you wish.
